How are death doulas certified? │Atlanta death doula

Currently, there is no over-arching entity that certifies death doulas, although individual programs offer their own certifications through their training programs.

I was trained by death midwife and activist Narinder Elizabeth Bazen through her Nine Keys Death Midwifery Apprenticeship. Elizabeth has served the dying in the Atlanta area for over twenty years. Under Elizabeth’s tutelage, I learned deeply about the death and dying process, the funeral industry and non-mainstream options, and I completed a home funeral practicum.

I have also deepened my training through classes and workshops, such as How to Talk to Kids About Death with death midwife Angela Alberto, Voluntary Stopping Eating and Drinking (VSED) workshops, and Going with Grace and Holistic Death Care Society classes.
